Nobody knows what your child did not understand today.
The teacher has forty other children to watch. A coaching class is a second classroom with the same limits. A gap that opens in September shows in March.

Tuesday’s homework has a wrong answer in it. Here is what happens to it.
- Real Numbers is taught once, at one pace, to forty children.
- Question 4 is wrong. The guide prints the answer and leaves out the reason.
- The class has moved on to the next chapter. The mistake is still there.
- The same chapter, taught the same way, to thirty children.
- It finds the mistake, and everything that was built on it since.
Every stop on that path is arranged around what one teacher can do in a day: one explanation, one pace, one language, one place. That is as true of coaching and of a recorded lecture as it is of school. Nothing on the path is arranged around the mistake your child actually made.
The textbook was written for a teacher to teach from.
The rule is printed. The reason is said in class, once, at the class’s pace. A child reading alone at nine at night stops at the first line they do not follow, and nobody knows.

- A margin rail carries the rule, the usual error and the earlier idea it depends on.
- Every wrong attempt is shown next to its fix.
- Every worked example gives the reason beside each line.
A book a child can read alone has to carry the reason on the page. It also has to know what this child has not understood, and paper cannot do that part.
Two things changed: every child has a phone, and a book can now be written for one reader.
A phone can carry the whole book, check each answer the moment it is given, and bring an idea back a few days later. And with AI, a book can be written for one reader at a time: the reason beside every rule, and every wrong answer traced to the idea it depends on.
The mistake is found the evening it happens, and comes back before it fades.
Same Tuesday, same question 4, on the phone your child already has.
- The same class, the same Tuesday. School does not change.
- Question 4 is wrong. The lesson checks it at once and gives the reason.
- Miss the same idea twice and the lesson goes back to the one it depends on, prime factorisation. That page carries the reason beside every step.
- The Feed brings the idea back, in ten minutes on the phone.
- The mistake was found and fixed in the week it was made.

- Each mistake is found the evening it is made, with the reason.
- There is no second classroom. It is all on the phone your child already has.
- Your child works at their own time and their own pace, and nobody has to be watching.
